A Lesson in Layers with PaintShop Pro X4

Today, the 4th grade class learned how to make layered images.  They were tasked to place one image on top of the other and then erase part of the image on the top so that the bottom layer would be the background. Most of the students used a planet or outer space as their background.  I think they did a great job !!!

Check them out!!!

PaintShop Pro Art in the Computer Lab

I am always amazed at how quickly students learn computer programs.  This year, we have been using and experimenting with PaintShop Pro X4.  One of my students combined several images that she found on the Internet and created a beautiful picture.  This image consists of three separate pictures which are merged using layers.

Comic Life From a First Grader!

I had a First Grade student that wanted to type her spelling words into the Comic Life program this morning.  She was rather adamant about finishing her work, so I decided to showcase it.  This is not a super easy program for a 1st Grade student to use, but she kept at it!  Great Job, Tehya!

Another Comic Life Masterpiece

This year, I bought a great piece of software called Comic Life and my students love it.  They use it even when they don't have to!  We have figured out all sorts of ways to use it and it was a very cheap piece of software.

Here is another example of a students work from our vault of great student pieces!  The students were tasked to write out their spelling words using Comic Life.
