Comic Life & Vocab Words

Today, my 4th Grade Computer Class used a program called Comic Life to type in their words.  I think they did a great job, and they seemed to enjoy making all of these different versions of their weekly spelling words using this software.

New Facelift on the Computer Lab

It took three whole days, but we repainted the computer lab.  I had my wife and Dr. Davidson's dad, Bill Davidson, helping with this project and they were an enormous help!  We got all of the walls painted and Mr. Davidson even fixed all of the heat registers that were damaged.

One of the things that I was so happy to have fixed, was getting the piles of wires off of the floor and attached to the back of the computer tables.  It was nearly impossible to clean around all of them while they were laying all over the floor.  It took the better part of four hours to get them off of the floor, but it was well worth it!

Once again, thanks so much to Mr. Davidson, and my wife, Karen, for all of their help!

No cords on the floors!

New carpet and curtains!

The heat registers are painted and fixed!

New Logo for the Technology Lab at Bluegrass Baptist School

Here is the new Logo for the Technology Department!  Pretty Cool!

Oh, the things you can do with Microsoft Excel!

Since the 3rd nine week segment of the school year has started, we have been exploring all of the different ways that you can use Microsoft Excel.  We have listed and organized data, created lists with comment boxes that pop up, learned how to label maps and now, we are creating time lines.  Below is a timeline from one of my 10th grade students.

Computer Art

I had a second grade student make this awesome piece of computer art in my class today.  He got finished practicing his spelling list and he decided to make a piece of art using the paint program from Microsoft Windows 11.  It kind of reminds me of artwork by Mondrian!
